About Us

Kids Against Palm Oil was founded by Jordan Salama in March of 2009 after doing a report about the decreasing number of orangutans. After research, reading ingredient labels, calling food and beauty product companies, and emailing environmental organizations such as the RSPO, he decided a website would be an effective way to raise awareness about the effects of palm oil. He hopes that many kids and adults will become more aware of what they are eating, in order to put pressure on non-compliant companies that are destroying the rainforest.
